SpaceX sets next launch date from Cape Canaveral

CAPE CANAVERAL, fLA. – NASA and SpaceX are targeting April 13 for the company's next launch of cargo from Cape Canaveral to the International Space Station.

Liftoff is planned for an instantaneous window at 4:33 p.m. EDT from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The mission will be SpaceX's sixth to deliver an unmanned Dragon cargo capsule to the station under a NASA Commercial Resupply Contract originally valued at $1.6 billion.

The Dragon will be packed with more than 4,300 pounds of food, equipment and supplies.

If the launch slips to April 14, liftoff would be planned around 4:10 p.m.
