Deputies said the attempted abduction was reported in the 14300 block of Huntcliff Park Way in Orlando just after 2:30 p.m.

According to deputies, the teen was walking on the sidewalk after getting off of a school bus and as she passed the green sedan, a man got out of the vehicle and grabbed her by the arm.

The girl screamed, broke away from the man and ran away, the father told Local 6.

"Angry at first, now terrified, you know, not only for my child but for the safety of others in this community and the whole neighborhood," said the victim's father, Luis Texeira. "If they attempted to do this in broad daylight who knows they might do it again- hope they get caught."

The suspect's vehicle was described by deputies as a dark green, Honda or Toyota with 4 doors, older 90s to early-2000 model with dark tinted windows,  chipped paint on the roof and an orange scratch on the trunk lid.

The victim's family said they went door-to-door informing neighbors of the incident and urging them to stay vigilant.

"It is the worst nightmare that you can have. I don't know how I drove home. I'm still numb, but I thank God that she is alive and that she is good," said the victim's grandmother, Iris Santiago.

Santiago said she is in disbelief and and so is her granddaughter.

"I think she's still in a little bit of a shock," said Santiago.

"There's a lot of kids out there that are very innocent and we have sick people out there like this person, and I hope you're watching and I hope they catch you," said Santiago.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.?
