ORLANDO, Fla. – State Road 408 has reopened in Orlando after a vehicle fire shut it down, but traffic is backed up in the area.
[TRAFFIC: Check conditions for your commute]
Westbound lanes of SR 408 were closed at mile marker 20 near Rouse Road for more than an hour on Friday.
Traffic cameras show smoke coming from a garbage truck, which lost power when a fire broke out in the container portion of the vehicle, fire officials said.
The fire was put out just before 3:30 p.m. and one lane had been reopened.
Traffic remained backed up in the area.
No other details have been released.
