A friend of the twins from the Miami area, where their mother lives, picked them up in a brown SUV or van, deputies said.  The girls' mother, however, has not been in contact with them, authorities said.

Detectives said the girls may be in the Aventura and Hallandale area and might not be traveling together.

The girls' disappearance does not appear suspicious, according to detectives.

Rebecca was described as a white girl, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 140 pounds.  She has black hair and brown eyes.  She also suffers from asthma and it is unknown if she has her inhaler with her.

Renata was described as a white girl, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 170 pounds.  She has black curly hair, brown eyes and a piercing on her right eyebrow.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
