Osteen fire still burning

About 43 acres on fire; 75 percent contained so far

OSTEEN, Fla. – A brush fire in Osteen is still burning Sunday consuming 45 acres.

The Division of Forestry said about 45 acres have burned. The fire started Saturday in the area of County Road 415, Acorn Lake Drive and Keelhaul Road.

Authorities said 75 percent of the brush fire has been contained.

No evacuations have been ordered at this time.

Tractors were used to dig lines ahead of the fire to stop the spread toward structures in the area.

The cause of the brush fire is still under investigation.
