Fun Spot, Gatorland open new Orlando attraction

Gator Spot features over 100 animals

ORLANDO, Fla. – One of Central Florida's oldest tourist destinations has teamed up with the largest tourist attraction on International Drive.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer on Monday joined with officials from Fun Spot America and Gatorland to officially open a new gator-themed tourist attraction.

The 15,000-square-foot reptile enclosure, Gator Spot, is located inside the Fun Spot theme park at 5700 Fun Spot Way.

Construction began on the $1 million collaboration in January.

Over 100 animals, including gators as large as 12 feet long, will be featured in the new theme park addition.

Admission to Gator Spot is $6 for both adults and children.
