Glitch forces Orlando Eye to close

Observation wheel reopens after about an hour

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Eye will return to normal operations Monday, a day after a glitch shut the ride for about an hour.

A representative for the giant observation wheel, located in the tourist district of the city, said the wheel stopped every two to three minutes Sunday because of the glitch.

Officials decided to close the ride and repair the problem, and the 400-foot wheel reopened after about an hour.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
