Central Florida to see highs in 90s, storms

Sea breezes could bring strong storms in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hot, with a chance of storms -- it seems like summer has arrived early in the Orlando area.

"Rain chances will continue on and off through the afternoon and early evening as the east coast seabreeze develops Tuesday afternoon," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "There will be the chance for a couple of stronger storms lately afternoon just in time for the drive home at 5 o'clock in Central Florida."

Rain chances taper off to 20 percent in the evening hours after a 30 percent chance for the afternoon.

The afternoon high temperature will be 92 degrees in Orlando.  High temperatures will remain above the average of 88 degrees all week into the upcoming weekend.

Rain chances continue at 30 percent through Thursday and 40 percent on Friday into the weekend.
