Woman runs over man in Kissimmee Walmart parking lot, deputies say
Noelia Mendez arrested, charged with aggravated battery
KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly ran over a man's leg in a Kissimmee Walmart.
The victim told police him and his friend were walking in the center aisle of the parking lot at 3250 Vineland Road when the woman, identified as Noelia Mendez, honked her horn at him.
The man told deputies he tried to tell Mendez to slow down when she accelerated, striking him, causing him to fall to the ground before running over his leg.
Deputies found Mendez's car in the area, pulled her over and questioned her.
Mendez told deputies she did blow her horn at the two men but that one of the men hit her vehicle as she drove away.
Deputies said Mendez denied hitting the victim on purpose. However, she was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Mendez was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
