Standoff caused by domestic dispute between mother, son, police say

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – A Winter Springs man is behind bars after an early morning standoff with the SWAT team.

Investigators said Victor Diaz's mother originally called in a complaint after the pair got into a domestic dispute.

Police said when they arrived they attempted to contact Diaz 30 times, but he refused to answer the door.

After learning Diaz may have been armed and was off his medication, the SWAT team was called in.

After the SWAT arrived police were able to get Diaz into custody.

Police have not yet said if Diaz will face any charges.
