Boy reported missing after leaving Orlando school found safe

Police: 12-year-old boy returned home Wednesday night

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 12-year-old boy who disappeared Wednesday afternoon after leaving an Orlando school has been found safe.

Christian Roca was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after leaving Stonewall Jackson Middle School.

The search for Christian ended after he returned home at 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said he was at a friend's home.

Christian is OK and was not in any danger during the time he was missing, according to Orlando police. He was at a neighbor or classmate's home nearby.

Family members said they were thankful for law enforcement who utilized a bloodhound, chopper, reverse 911 call to help locate the sixth grader.

"I was so happy to see him, but I still kind of worried about where he was all these hours," Lilian Roca, Christian's grandmother, told Local 6. "I just want to make sure he was safe. That was the most important that my grandson was safe. My grandsons to me are my life."

The search lasted five hours. Police had not suspected foul play.
