14-year-old shot in Orlando drive-by, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Deputies say a 14-year-old was hit by gunfire Thursday night in a drive-by shooting in the 3700 block of Pine Ridge Road.

The mother of the teen told authorities she was sitting with her family in the living room when they heard gunshots. One of the bullets went through the window and hit the 14-year-old in the left shoulder, according to deputies.

Deputies said the neighbor's home was also hit in the drive-by but that there were no injuries in their home.

A neighbor told authorities he saw two black men riding their bikes from the area where the shooting happened.

The victim was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital.

No other details were immediately released.
