2 juveniles stole vehicle with 4-year-old boy inside, Sanford police say
Police: Boy found unharmed down the road
SANFORD, Fla. – Two juveniles accused of stealing a vehicle with a 4-year-old boy inside were found and arrested by Sanford police within 25 minutes, the department said.
A 2013 black Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen at 12:26 p.m. Friday from the parking lot of Windchase Apartments at 100 Windchase Blvd., according to Sanford police.
The vehicle was occupied by a 4-year-old boy when it was stolen, police said.
The boy was found unharmed a couple of blocks down the road near the intersection of Bungalow Boulevard and Southwest Road.
Both James Tanner and Antheveous Armstrong were arrested and are being held at the Seminole County Juvenile Detention Center, Sanford police said.
Tanner is being held for burglary to an occupied vehicle, conspiracy to commit grand theft, child endangerment and resisting an officer without violence. Police said Armstrong is being held for burglary to an occupied vehicle, conspiracy to commit grand theft, child endangerment and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
