Robbers steal cash, phone after striking victim, Orange County cops say

Deputies: Victim confronted in parking garage at Sterling University complex


ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are looking for the two robbers who struck a person in a parking garage at the Sterling University complex.

Two robbers, believed to be in their 20s, confronted the victim with a handgun at the parking garage at 12100 Sterling University Lane, deputies said.

The robbers fled in an SUV after striking the victim and taking his cash and cellphone.

Deputies said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to the head and was taken to the Oviedo emergency room.

Neither the victim nor the robbers are believed to be students at the University of Central Florida, deputies said.
