Orange County Fire Rescue said just before 5 p.m. that they were on the scene with Reedy Creek Fire Department at fire, which was burning about three-quarters of a mile into a wooded area near Western Way and Flamingo Crossing Boulevard.

It was later determined the fire, which was around 6 acres upon further investigation, was under Division of Forestry and Orange County's command.

No structures were near the fire.

Local 6 obtained photos from a viewer showing smoke and flames shooting up into the sky.

The fire ignited as severe weather moved through the Central Florida area. It's not clear what sparked the brush fire, but the state fire marshal is investigating.

No other details were immediately available.
