Ducker and Sawyer are accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from the Church of Christ on Providence Boulevard, which had been collecting it to help pay for a child's leukemia medical costs. They also stole Publix gift cards and cash from the church, deputies said.

Burglaries were also reported at the Lutheran Church of Deltona, Sunshine Academy, and DTA Academy, but in some cases, nothing was missing, according to the report.

Deputies said at DTA Academy, some employee paystub envelopes were ripped open, the front desk candy bowl had been moved and candy wrappers were scattered throughout a classroom.

Sawyer and Ducker were charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of criminal mischief, two counts of grand theft and possession of heroin. Ducker also faces an additional burglary charge and possession of drug paraphernalia.
