DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Daytona Beach man is dead after he was rear-ended while stopping for road construction.

Police said a flag man was stopping northbound traffic near LPGA International. Greg Eaves, 64, was stopped, or was coming to a stop, in his 2003 Dodge Neon when a 2010 Lincoln, driven by Ethan Wagner, failed to slow down and rear-ended him.

Eaves was taken to Halifax Hospital, where he died.

Wagner did not suffer any injuries in the crash, according to police.

Danny R. Van Cleeff, 57, who was in the vehicle in front of Eaves, suffered minor injuries but did not seek medical treatment.
