Police: Harry Joiner is registered sex offender

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a CVS Pharmacy in Melbourne.

A balding middle-aged white man carrying a backpack, wearing shorts, no shirt and flip-flops entered the CVS at 15 East New Haven Ave. around 3 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The man, Harry Ranson Joiner III, 51, threatened the clerk, demanding money from the cash register while placing his hand in the backpack implying he had a weapon, according to police.

Officers said that Joiner fled with an undisclosed amount of money and a beer.

Police said Joiner was positively identified and that there was probable cause for his arrest.

Officers also said that Joiner is a registered sex offender.
