Predators knock off Philadelphia Soul 45-42

Win puts Orlando back into sole possession of first place in South Division

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Predators (7-5) earned a 45-42 victory Saturday night over the Philadelphia Soul (10-2) in front of 10,473 fans at the Amway Center.

The win vaults Orlando back into sole possession of first place in the South Division, the team said.

The Predators' defense stifled Philadelphia's offense throughout Saturday evening, forcing four turnovers while holding the Soul to its lowest scoring output of the season, according to the Predators.

QB Bernard Morris rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, while adding 174 yards and two scores through the air.

The team said WR Larry Brackins and WR Brandon Thompkins hauled in six passes as Brackins led with 70 yards and a touchdown. Thompkins registered 59 receiving yards and another score, while also adding 119 yards and a touchdown on kickoff returns.

The Predators take on the Arizona Rattlers at 8 p.m. Saturday. The team says the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
