Deputies find body during well-being check at Deltona home

Powdery substance also discovered inside home


DELTONA, Fla. – A body was discovered by Volusia County deputies who were performing a well-being check at a home in Deltona, officials said.

The body was found around 11 a.m. Tuesday at a  home in the 990 block of Trellis Avenue.

"When (deputies) arrived on scene and got into the home, they found a dead person," the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said. 

Deputies also discovered a white powdery substance in the home, authorities said.  Tests showed that the substance was baby powder, deputies tweeted.

It's not known how the person died.

No other details have been released.
