A crash closes I-95 southbound in Volusia.

EDGEWATER, Fla. – A 25-year-old Daytona Beach woman was critically injured Tuesday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center, the FHP said.

According to troopers, the woman was driving a 2012 Ford Focus on I-95 south near Edgewater when she lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and struck a tree.

Southbound lanes of the interstate were closed while officials investigated the crash.

No other details have been released.
