Oviedo High School baseball coach resigns amid district investigation
Harold Hitt remains teacher at school, district says
OVIEDO, Fla. – Local 6 has learned a high school baseball coach has resigned while under investigation by the school district.
Harold Hitt stepped down as Oviedo's varsity baseball coach, but remains a physical education and personal fitness teacher at Oviedo High School.
Seminole County Public Schools said they are not releasing details on what prompted the investigation into Hitt.
Hitt led Oviedo to a state championship in May. He was hired in 1998 and has had no prior disciplinary issues.
