2 hurt in Brevard personal watercraft crash

Good Samaritan brings victims back to rental business

Two people were injured in a personal watercraft accident in Brevard County on Friday afternoon, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.

Authorities said the two personal watercrafts collided just north of the Merritt Island Causeway in the Banana River at around 1:30 p.m.

A good Samaritan boater picked up one seriously injured victim and brought him to the business where the watercrafts were rented. He was brought to Cape Canaveral Hospital and then airlifted to Holmes Medical Center as a trauma alert.

Two men in their mid-20s were operating the personal watercrafts, according to officials. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said the man had non-life-threatening injuries.
