DELTONA, Fla. – An 18-year-old babysitter was arrested Tuesday on allegations of stealing more than $400 from a Volusia County home.

Kelsey Walker was arrested on charges of grand theft and booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail.

According to authorities, a woman discovered 182 $2 bills and two $20 bills missing from her home after Walker watched her children last week.

Officials said the woman investigated the incident and discovered that Walker had taken the money to the Deltona Liquor store and exchanged the $2 bills for larger denominations.

The woman reported the theft to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office on Monday, and Walker confessed to taking the money, authorities said.

Walker said she spent all of the money, and none of it was recovered, deputies said.

Walker was arrested and taken to jail.
