Donation fund set up for victims of apartment fire near UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida Foundation is asking for help for the students who were displaced by a fire at an off-campus apartment complex.

The fire ignited at buildings 4 and 5 of the Tivoli Apartments across the street from the UCF campus Sunday afternoon,  affecting 24 apartments and displacing about 75 people.

Officials say although the more than two dozen UCF students have temporary housing, most also need food, clothing, housewares and more. Knights Helping Knights Pantry is distributing donations of food and goods.

The UCF Foundation has set up a link to donate to the Knights Helping Knights Pantry.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
