Osceola County accidental drowning victim identified

Body of man, 52, pulled from retention pond

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Osceola County deputies have identified the accidental drowning victim on Wednesday where a man was pulled from a retention pond.

Deputies said 52-year-old Wilbert Irving Jr. was swimming in the pond on Seasons Boulevard in Kissimmee when witnesses say he went underwater and did not resurface.

Deputies, along with Osceola County Fire Rescue and the Orlando Police Department dive team, searched the pond and found Irving.

Deputies said they are investigating Irving's death as an accidental drowning.

No other details were immediately available.
