Man waved gun at drivers at Lake Mary exit, cops say

LAKE MARY, Fla. – A man was arrested on Wednesday in an apparent case of road rage along Interstate 4 after deputies say the man threatened other drivers with a gun.

Alexander Roman, 28, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the incident on I-4 near the Lake Mary exit on Wednesday evening.

According to the report, Roman told deputies that he was driving on eastbound I-4 and was being followed by an F-150 that was tailgating him. Witnesses said that Roman was "brake-checking" the the F-150 and followed the truck off the exit ramp.

Deputies said Roman, realizing it was an exit ramp, then tried to cut in front of another driver and collided with some cones. The other driver moved and Roman drove on the driver's side of the vehicle, pulled out a gun and started waving it, shouting at the driver to pull off the shoulder of the road, according to the report.

The other driver said he was terrified he would be shot and lowered his seat to get out of Roman's view.

Authorities were contacted and Roman was booked into Seminole County jail.
