Man, 70, beaten in attack on Lynx bus in Orlando

Orange County deputies release photo of suspect

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 70-year-old man who was attacked on a bus last month said he is afraid he might see his attacker again the next time he boards a Lynx bus.

The attack happened before noon June 5 on a bus near Silver Star Road and North Powers Drive. The victim said it started with a question and ended with him getting punched in the head.

The suspect boarded the bus and demanded $5 from Cecil Bryan. When that didn't work, the man just started punching.

"He said, 'Alright, you're going home with one eye today," Bryan said.

Bryan said his attacker viciously punched him four or five times.

Authorities released a picture of the attacker, who remains on the loose. The reward for information leading to his arrest has increased to $1,000.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
