Fire damages Pine Hills home

30 firefighters work to control blaze

PINE HILLS, Fla. – A fire badly damaged a Pine Hills home early Wednesday.

No one was injured in the fire, which broke out around 3 a.m. at a home on Lavon Way near Pine Hills Elementary School.

A neighbor called 911, and firefighters said the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.  Two firefighters were inside the home when the roof collapsed, but they were not injured.

Thirty firefighters worked to get the fire under control, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
