ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after a man in his 60s fell into a retention pond and did not resurface.
It happened at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday at a pond at State Road 436 and Amber Drive in Orange County.
Witnesses told authorities that the man fell backward into the retention pond and did not resurface.
Orange County Fire Rescue recovered the man and attempted lifesaving measures, but were not successful. The man was pronounced dead.
