Orange County Animal Services host 'Feline Frenzy'

Shelters hopes promotion will give at least 45 cats new homes

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County Animal Services is hosting a "Feline Frenzy" today through Thursday.

The event is an adoption promotion that reduces the standard adoption fee for cats from $40 to $5.

The shelter has more than 125 cats that need homes.  With this promotion, employees hope to match at least 45 cats with people willing to adopt them.

Dil Luther, division manager of Orange County Animal Services said the shelter has a wide variety of cats ready to be adopted. "Whether you're looking for a playful kitten or a mellow cuddle buddy, an orange tabby or a Siamese, we have them all available," he said.

Each adoption includes sterilization, initial vaccinations, microchip identification, deworming, FLV/FIV test, rabies vaccination, 5-pound bag of food and an adoption welcome kit.

Orange County Animal Services is located near the Mall at Millenia at 2769 Conroy Rd. in Orlando. It is open  10 a.m. to 6 p.m on weekdays.
