DeBARY, Fla. – A precautionary boil-water notice that had been issued for all Volusia County Utilities customers in DeBary and Orange City was lifted Thursday at 3 p.m.

The notice, which affected about 7,500 homes, was given after the county's water treatment plant in DeBary experienced a temporary loss in pressure around 4:10 a.m. Wednesday due to a mechanical failure. Pressure was later fully restored at the facility, officials said.
