Man, 60, struck, killed while crossing road in Deltona
Deputies say Robert Boles died in crash
DELTONA, Fla. – A 60-year-old man died after being struck by a truck Thursday night while crossing a street in Deltona, deputies said.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Robert Boles, of Deltona, died in the crash, which occurred about 9:23 p.m on Lake Helen-Osteen Road near Capri Circle.
Boles was taken by ambulance to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford and was later pronounced dead.
According to deputies, a truck was driving on Lake Helen-Osteen Road when Boles walked into the road and was hit.
Officials said a man was driving and a woman was a passenger in the truck. Neither were injured in the crash.
