Semi-truck driver hospitalized after crashing into utility poles

Police: Repairs to poles will have to be done over next few days

ORLANDO, Fla. – A driver of a semi-truck was taken to a hospital after crashing into utility poles, police said.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday on Semoran Boulevard in Orlando.

Police said lights, wires and poles had to be removed to clear the crash scene.

State Road 436 was opened around 8:30 p.m.

Eastbound Grant Street was diverted to South Semoran Boulevard and westbound Grant Street was diverted to North Semoran Boulevard.

Police said repairs to the utility poles will have to be done over the next few days.
