Man charged after woman shot, killed in Orlando

2 children uninjured in fatal shooting on Rubens Court

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man who is considered a person of interest in the shooting death of a woman has been taken into custody.

Deputies said the woman, who was shot several times, was found Saturday afternoon in the middle of the road in the 6000 block of Rubens Court in the Carolina Estates Subdivision.

Travis Bivins, 33, was being sought Saturday as a person of interest in the woman's death, deputies said. He has been charged with murder.

Two children who were outside of the home at the time of the shooting were not hurt, deputies said.
