ORLANDO, Fla. – A man who routinely feeds an alligator in an Orlando retention pond discovered a man's body Sunday morning, police said.
The body was discovered around 9:05 a.m. in a pond near Jackson Street and South Lee Avenue.
According to Orlando police, the man called police after making the discovery, saying the man was face-down in a pond and appeared to be dead.
The Orlando Fire Department dive team removed the man from the water and confirmed that he was dead.
The body was described by police only as that of a black man.
An investigation is ongoing, and there's no word on whether the man faces charges for admitting to feeding alligators.
