SunRail train involved in crash with trailer, Longwood police say

No injuries reported in crash

LONGWOOD, Fla. – Northbound SunRail trains were delayed on Monday afternoon after a SunRail was involved in a crash with a trailer.

Longwood police said the crash occurred on southbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard just north of State Road 434 at 5:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the crash. Police said the train was estimated to have been traveling at 15 to 20 miles per hour at the time of the collision.

SunRail officials  tweeted an update saying, "the 4:45 p.m. northbound Sand Lake Road train is delayed by 34 minutes due to police activity."

Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 flew over the scene as traffic backed up near the intersection with road closures.

No other details were immediately available.
