The Florida Highway Patrol said Reyes Quinto Azamar, 51, of Kissimmee, died in the crash, which happened around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 192 at Locksley Lane near Kissimmee.

The FHP said a 2006 Mazda four-door left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck Azamar, who was riding in a bike lane, from behind.  Azamar was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

After hitting Azamar, the Mazda struck a pole and another vehicle, the FHP said.  The driver of the other car was not injured.

The driver of the Mazda ran off, and troopers and Osceola County sheriff's deputies continue to look for him, the FHP said.  He was described by the FHP as a Hispanic man in his 20s.

Westbound lanes of U.S. 192 were closed in the area but reopened several hours later.
