2 people who threatened homeowner during burglary arrested, cops say

Pair taken into custody after short pursuit, Orange County deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people who threatened a homeowner with a firearm while attempting to steal from the home have been arrested, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

A homeowner returned to his home in the 7900 block of South Park Place and discovered people removing items from his home.

The robbery was foiled and the robbers threatened the homeowner with a firearm, deputies said. They fled the scene in a vehicle, and a description of it was released to deputies.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies encountered the vehicle and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle crashed in the area of Willie Mays Parkway and LB Mcleod Road.

Deputies said two people are in custody.
