4 shot outside Daytona Beach bar, cops say

Man returned to bar with gun after fight

DAYTONA BEACH – Four people were shot outside a bar in Daytona Beach after a man got into a fight then left and came back with a gun.

Daytona Beach police said that the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Baritz Club in the 300 block of Pearl Street.

The suspect was described as a black man with light skin in his 20s who is 4 feet 5 inches tall, has short spiked hair and wore a white tan top and shorts, police said.

The suspect was involved in a fight about 30 minutes prior to his return with a gun where he shot at the people still in the parking lot. The victims were innocent bystanders and were not involved in the fight earlier.

Police said all the victims were taken to Halifax Medical Center. One victim was a 36-year-old man who was shot in the left leg and stomach. A 28-year-old woman was shot in the left leg. A 43-year-old man was hit by a bullet on his left wrist area and a 35-year-old man suffered a shot to the abdomen; his injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The shooter remains at large.
