Afternoon scattered storms expected in Central Florida

Afternoon scattered storms are expected in Central Florida on Tuesday as an area of low pressure moves through the northern Gulf of Mexico.

"We will once again be tracking afternoon scattered storms the coverage at 60 percent," said News 6 chief meteorologist Troy Bridges.

The average high in Orlando is 91 and on Tuesday it will make it to 90 with added clouds. Through the latter part of the day, it won't heat as quickly.

"It will feel more like 100 to 105 degrees until the afternoon before some of the heaviest rain comes," Bridges said.

Afternoon high temperatures will be closer to the average Wednesday through the end of the week in the low 90s with a little bit lower rain coverage at 40 percent.

Tropical Storm Grace continues to weaken as she moves closer to the Lesser Antilles and is likely to die out altogether as she moves there later this week.
