Officials break ground on new fire station in Parramore

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined Fire Chief Roderick Williams to break ground on a brand new fire station for Parramore on Tuesday.

The new 12,000-square-foot, $4.9 million fire station, which is also known as the pride of Parramore, will be open in summer 2017.

As part of Tuesday morning's celebration, Orlando firefighters provided free blood pressure screenings and hands-only CPR training.

The fire station will be another boost, along with a new soccer stadium and a high-tech Creative Village, for the community.

"It's a beacon, something new, start of revitalization in this community," said Williams.
