Crimson Tide superfan sports 'Bama' eye

Mary Farr gets artificial eye

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – College football has returned, and one Alabama fan may be the queen of all fanatics.

Mary Farr showed her Crimson Tide pride by getting a fake eye with the word "Bama" written on it.

Farr, who graduated from the University of Alabama, lost her eye in a plane crash in the 1970s.

She says the new eye is not just about school pride, though.  Her middle name is Bama, and she was named after her grandmother, whose name is Alabama.
