Fire evacuates Winter Springs High School

Firefighters work to ventilate building

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – Winter Springs High School was evacuated Wednesday because of a fire in a bathroom, officials said.

The fire started in a toilet paper dispenser in an upstairs bathroom, according to the Winter Springs Police Department and Seminole County Fire Department.

All students and faculty were evacuated, and the fire was extinguished, officials said.

Firefighters ventilated the school, and classes resumed around noon, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
