Volusia County schools launch survey regarding school uniforms

Officials ask for input from parents and students

DeLAND, Fla. – Volusia County schools are asking for input regarding school uniforms.

The school board has posted a survey on its website and at open houses at each school and are asking for input regarding required school uniforms for the 2016-17 school year.

Parents, students, teachers and school administrators are encouraged to take part in the survey.  Changes to the dress code policy will require discussion at two future school board meetings, which will allow for public input.

The survey is in English and Spanish and can be found here

The current student dress code was adopted in 2011-12 and established guidelines for what students can and cannot wear to school.
