Arrest made in shooting of teen in Orange County, officials say

Daniel Glover, 27, charged with attempted murder

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man has been arrested and charged in the shooting of a 17-year-old male Thursday in west Orange County.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Glover, 27, got to his apartment at 764 Sherwood Terrace at about 4:48 p.m. to find it had been burglarized.

Deputies said Glover walked outside and confronted a 17-year-old who was in a vehicle in an adjacent parking lot.

As the teen drove away, Glover pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the vehicle, deputies said.

The teen was hit in the leg by a bullet, but was able to drive himself to a nearby shopping center, where he called for help. He was then taken to Orlando Regional Hospital.

Deputies said after interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, they arrested Glover and charged him with attempted murder. He was taken to Orange County Jail.

OCSO said it didn't appear that the teen had any involvement in the burglary of Glover's apartment.

The teen's condition is unknown.
