Fire prompts evacuation at Ormond Beach business

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – A fire near Ormond Beach airport prompted evacuations at a nearby industrial park business on Friday afternoon.

Volusia County Fire Rescue said the fire ignited on Tower Circle East in Ormond Beach at around 2 p.m.

Employees from Florida Production Engineering were evacuated, but no injuries were reported.

It's not clear where the fire started, but the state fire marshal is investigating.

Daytona Beach and Holly Hill fire crews also worked to battle the blaze.
