ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2015-16 NFL season officially kicked off Thursday night, and News 6 (WKMG-TV) is gearing up for the start of its NFL broadcast schedule this weekend.

News 6 will feature a double-header on Sunday, consisting of Miami at Washington followed by Baltimore at Denver.

News 6 chose the Ravens-Broncos matchup over Tampa Bay-Tennessee because it was determined to be the most attractive game available.

"News 6 has chosen to air the Denver-Baltimore matchup because it will satisfy the majority of our viewers," News 6 General Manager Jeff Hoffman said. "We make every effort to pick the best matchup, and substantial audience research supports this choice. Our No. 1 consideration is determining what's going to be the most popular game for our viewers."

Hoffman pointed out that News 6 will air a Bucs game in the near future.

"News 6 has two opportunities to air the Buccaneers this season, and we will be showing the Bucs-Jags game on October 11," Hoffman said.
