KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A Kissimmee man who police were looking for on attempted murder charges turned himself in to the Kissimmee Police Department on Friday.

Around 3:30 a.m. Friday, Cody Champion, 25, entered his estranged husband's residence through an unlocked sliding glass door and attempted to stab him, said the Kissimmee Police Department.

Officers said the victim was able to push Champion out the door and lock it. Champion then fled the residence. The victim was not injured.

Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Champion charging him with attempted murder, armed occupied burglary and criminal mischief.
