A Republican presidential candidate may have rubbed some Seminoles the wrong way with a recent comment during a radio interview.
While speaking to KNXO 1460 AM in Des Moines, Iowa last week Marco Rubio stated, "I think there has to be a school where people that can't get into Florida can go to college. And that's why we have Florida State."
The former Florida senator got his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of Miami.
Rubio has responded to backlash with a tweet reading, "#FSU fans relax. It was just college football trash talk on sports radio, not serious statement on @meetthepress"
